Meet the 2020 Leaders for Life Fellows

Haley Campbell

Haley Campbell

  • Citrus County

Haley attended Crystal River High School and ranked 14th in her senior class of 310 students with a current weighted GPA is 4.5. While in high school, Haley volunteered with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes as Leader and the Key Club as an editor and class representative. Haley also spent time tutoring at a local elementary school, working with the Lion’s Club Christmas Meals and the Crest School Field Day.  Haley was also active in the Young Republicans, Link Crew and Student Government. Her love for children’s issues is evident with the certificates Haley has earned while in high school such as Behavioral Observation & Screening, Identifying & Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect, Child Growth & Development to name just a few. She plans to attend the University of South Florida and major in Nursing.

Kristopher

Kristopher Ganesh

  • Lake County

Kristopher attended South Lake High School and stayed busy as the Executive Board President of the Student Government Association as well as President of both the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta.  He has a weighted GPA of 5.11 and ranks 1st in his senior class of 420 students.  Kristopher also volunteered with the Key Club, Homecoming and Prom committees and Science Fairs.  He put in two years with the NJROTC as well as volunteering for the Clermont Youth Council and Steamfit.  He plans to attend the University of Florida to study Business.

Samantha

Samantha Malak

  • Pinellas County

Samantha graduated from Palm Harbor University High School in the International Baccalaureate Program there.  She ranks 25th of her class of 539 students and carries a weighted 3.98 GPA.  Samantha will study at the University of South Florida, majoring in Bio-medical Sciences. With a strong desire to help her community Samantha assists feeding the homeless and started two non-profit organizations to help with sports and tutoring.  She has over 500 volunteer hours at Morton Plant Mease Dunedin Hospital in OBGYN.  Samantha belonged to the National Honor Society and the National Math Honor Society.

gisselle

Gisselle Nava

  • Collier County

Gisselle hails from Immokalee and will attend Florida Gulf Coast University to study Nursing.  She ranked 11th out of 431 students in her class, has a weighted GPA of 4.88 and was dually enrolled at Florida Southwestern State.  Gisselle was a member of the Key Club and a teaching assistant at the Immokalee technical college patient care program. Gisselle’s love for science and helping others is evident by her enrollment as a four-year scholar of the SSTRIDE (Science Students Together Reaching Instructional Diversity and Excellence) Program through Florida State University.  SSTRIDE is a program within FSU Medical School and is a medical pipeline program to identify young high school students who wish to pursue STEM careers.

Jacob O'Neil

  • Highlands County

Jacob graduated from Sebring High School in Highlands County.  He ranks 27th out of the 281 students in his class and carries a 4.35 weighted GPA.  Jacob plans to major in Business at the University of South Florida.  At Sebring High, Jacob has participated on the junior varsity football team, the Peer Leadership Team as Co-captain.  A a student in the International Baccalaureate Program, Jacob was dually enrolled, completed AP classes and was on the Honor Roll.  He is looking forward to attending USF in Tampa.

emma sullivan

Emma Sullivan

  • Collier County

Emma attended Naples High School, ranked 8th of 462 senior students and has a weighted GPA of 5.17.  She was accepted to Wellesley College in Massachusetts.  Her creativity and love for writing has inspired her to complete her undergraduate studies and earn a master’s degree of Fine Arts in Creative Writing.  This would lead to teaching at the college level and eventually earn a doctorate in Literature.  During high school when Emma was not studying or writing she volunteered as a stage manager at Gulfshore Playhouse as well as assisting younger students cultivating their talents at the Story Lab at Gulf View Middle School.  She co-founded a literary club at Naples High School and worked part time as a Barista at Starbucks.  Emma has won an award from Wellesley for her writing and is on the Florida Gulf Coast University Dean’s list.

Marie Sintulaire

  • Palm Beach County

Marie has her sight set on attending Florida State University and study Accounting. She currently attends Glades Central Community High School and is ranked #1 of her 242 graduating class. Her weighted GPA is a 5.2 and she will have an AA degree upon graduation this spring. Staying busy and keeping up grades, Marie is active with Student Government, Health Occupations Students of America, Leadership Grow Palm Beach, teaching Sunday school and playing piano at First Haitian Baptist Church as well as taking the role of principal for the First Haitian Baptist Church Youth & Development Center after-school program. Marie has over 1100 community service volunteer hours. She hopes to achieve her degree and give back to the community of Belle Glade someday.
