Parents and Guardians
It takes a team of committed and caring people to support the success of your child. You are the leader of this team and the only one who is always with your child. We are here to back you up. To fully support you, Take Stock in Children makes the following promise to you:- Clear Direction: (1) detailed communication of what you can expect from Take Stock in Children when your child is accepted into the program and (2) what you will need to do.
- Preparation: making sure that you have the information you need to support your child in the program.
- Unwavering Support: making a long- term pledge to help you help your child to be successful.
These promises are half of what it takes to ensure your child's success. The other half is you keeping the following three promises:
- Commitment: encouraging your child to concentrate, be disciplined, and work toward achieving his or her goals.
- Citizenship: (1) enforcing the Take Stock in Children contract, (2) doing your best to be a positive influence and role model for your child, and (3) asking for help before it's too late.
- Involvement: (1) being passionately engaged in supporting your child's future and (2) meeting with the Take Stock in Children staff and your child's mentor when necessary.
