Success Stories
Take Stock in Children mentors come from every walk of life, and each makes the commitment to meet with his or her student for one hour per week on school grounds. With a focus on student success, mentors provide academic coaching, advice, support and, most of all, friendship. Multi-year, one-on-one mentoring is the cornerstone of the Take Stock in Children program and as evidenced by the success of our studens, it pays large-scale dividends.OUTSTANDING TAKE STOCK IN CHILDREN MENTORS IN PINELLAS COUNTY

Take Stock in Children Mentors at Tarpon Springs High and East Lake High in Pinellas County
Both Susan and John have mentored Take Stock in Children scholars for years. They dart back and forth from Tarpon Springs High and East Lake High. To Susan, seeing the seniors truly appreciate the value of their scholarship is just one of the many benefits of being a mentor. For John, it’s seeing students set goals and rise to the occasion.
Together they have mentored over ten years and are looking forward to many more. Dedicated to the Take Stock in Children Scholarship Program, Susan and John set the mentoring standard at a high level. Both stress academic excellence, goal setting and keeping a positive attitude. We thank you for your years of service.
