Celebrating Outstanding Take Stock in Children Leaders 4 Life

Take Stock in Children is proud to recognize a remarkable group of students whose academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to service exemplify the mission of Take Stock in Children. These students represent communities across Florida and reflect the determination, resilience, and promise of the thousands of Take Stock students served statewide each year. Each of the students highlighted below demonstrated exceptional achievement in the classroom while actively contributing to their schools, families, and communities. 

Remy– Take Stock in Children of Flagler County
Remy attends Matanzas High School in Flagler County, where she maintains a 3.5 unweighted GPA while balancing a rigorous courseload and dual enrollment at Daytona State College. A Dean’s List student, Remy is a founding member and co-captain of her school’s Speech and Debate Club and played a key role in establishing the Matanzas High School newspaper. She also represents her school as a member of the Varsity Girls Golf Team and the National Honor Society. Remy plans to attend either the University of Florida or the University of South Florida, where she hopes to earn a master’s degree in marketing and journalism.

Londyn – Take Stock in Children of Pinellas County
Londyn attends Largo High School with a 4.0 unweighted cumulative GPA. She serves as Vice President of the Spanish Honor Society and is an active member of the International Thespian Society and National Honor Society. Londyn is also the co-founder of her school’s Pickleball Club, which organizes school-wide tournaments. Beyond campus, she serves as Treasurer of the Junior Optimist Club, volunteers with the local theater, Lions Club, and Salvation Army, and provides daily care for her grandmother. Londyn plans to pursue studies in Biomedical Engineering, Environmental Science, or Chemistry at the University of Florida or the University of Central Florida.

George – Take Stock in Children of Orange County
George attends Lake Buena Vista High School, where he has earned a 3.93 unweighted GPA. Passionate about civic engagement and leadership, George serves as Florida State Representative to the National Association of Student Councils and participates in the Page and Messenger Program for the Florida House of Representatives. He is also active in Boy Scouts, Drama Club, and his high school football team. George made school history as the first student at Lake Buena Vista High School to qualify for the National Speech & Debate Association National Debate Tournament. He hopes to double major in Biology and Pre-Law, with Harvard University as his dream school, while also considering the University of Central Florida and Florida State University.

Meadow – Take Stock in Children of Santa Rosa County
Meadow is on track to graduate from Pace High School with a 4.0 unweighted GPA. A dedicated member of the yearbook staff for four years, she has played a leadership role in guiding production and supporting her peers. Meadow plans to pursue a degree in psychology and hopes to attend Officer Training School for the Army or Marines. Her long-term goal is to work with military working dogs while serving others through military service. Meadow looks forward to attending Flagler College or the University of North Florida.

Zakk – Take Stock in Children of Suwannee County
Zakk attends Suwannee High School with a 3.81 unweighted GPA and a strong passion for leadership and education. He is a math tutor and an active member of the Key Club, Beta Club, and Theatre Club, while also serving in Children’s Church and participating in community theater. Outside of school, Zakk works part-time as a host at a local restaurant. Graduating with both his high school diploma and an AA degree from North Florida College, Zakk hopes to attend the University of Florida or Florida State University. His goal is to become a math professor or secondary-level educator and earn a master’s degree in educational leadership. Together, these students embody the values at the heart of Take Stock in Children, perseverance, leadership, service, and a commitment to building brighter futures.

Avery – Take Stock in Children of Citrus County                                        With a 3.44 unweighted GPA at Citrus High School, Avery has served as a Take Stock in Children Student Ambassador for five years and as Senior Squad Leader during her senior year. Through her involvement in Air Force Junior ROTC, Avery has held leadership roles including Cadet Major, Corps Commander, Inspector General, and Color Guard NCIOC. Her honors include the Celebrate Freedom Award, Air Commando Association Award, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Award. Avery plans to study psychology at the University of South Florida before attending Officer Training School and pursuing a career in the United States Air Force.

Their achievements reflect not only their own dedication, but also the support of mentors, educators, families, and community partners who believe in the power of opportunity. We are incredibly proud to celebrate these outstanding scholars and look forward to all they will accomplish in the years ahead.
