Angela Alford

Angela Alford, AP student with a 4.2 GPA, graduated from Niceville Senior High School in Okaloosa County.  She participated in the National Honor Society and held leadership positions in her high school’s wind ensemble and marching band. Receiving many music honors, Angela performed at Carnegie Hall in NYC, marched in the 2008 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA.  Angela also volunteered with the American Cancer Society, the Hosanna House, and local food pantries.  

Angela was accepted to Florida State University and graduated in 2015 with honors and received a BA degree in Family and Child Sciences.  After graduation, Angela moved to Mississippi to complete her graduate coursework at University of Southern Mississippi. Throughout graduate school, Angela remained active with the National Association of Social Workers, became President of the Student Association of Social Workers, and worked as a graduate and research assistant. In May of 2019, Angela graduated with honors with her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. She is a licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Mississippi and currently pursuing her clinical licensure (LCSW). Angela is a social worker at the Center for Violence Prevention in Pearl, Mississippi where she provides individual and group therapy services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
