Gisselle ranked 14th out of 453 students in her class, had a weighted GPA of 5.28 and was dual enrolled at Florida Southwestern State. Gisselle was a member of the Key Club and a student at the Immokalee technical college patient care program. Gisselle’s love for science and helping others is evident by her enrollment as a four-year scholar of the SSTRIDE (Science Students Together Reaching Instructional Diversity and Excellence) Program through Florida State University. Gisselle currently attends Florida Gulf Coast University and plans to major in Nursing. At FGCU, she is involved in the TRIO SSS (Student Support Services) Program and the Latin American Student Organization (LASO). She has also received the opportunity to learn more about the medical field through her internship with the Immokalee Foundation’s Healthcare Pathway Program.
