Karla Menchu-Saban

Karla Menchu-Saban was dually enrolled Palm Beach State College where she was ranked top 5% of her class out of 628 students with a 4.24 GPA. She challenged herself by taking AICE and AP classes. Karla kept active with activities such as Secretary of the S.H.A.P.E. Club, VP of the Medical Honor Society, Chief of Staff with the JROTC Wing Staff, Johnson Scholars, Trio Talent Program, Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society and Marching Band. Karla enjoyed volunteering with the community by offering translation services and is a certified medical interpreter and CPR.  Karla attends Florida Atlantic University majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Health Administration and serves as a Take Stock in College Student Ambassador. In addition, Karla served as Secretary for the National Society of Leadership and Success, participated in the Career Living Community, and interned for the Office of Leadership Education and Development (LEAD). Currently she serves as the Co-Director of Records for the American Medical Student Association (AMSA), Secretary for Blood Pressure Screening Association (BPSA), an Elite Owl Leadership Ambassador, and a Peer Academic Coach. She gives back to the community as a mentor with Take Stock in Children and a chaperone for Palm Beach County schools. As a First-Gen college student, Karla is making the most of her college experience.
