Michele attended Winter Springs High School where she had a 4.1 GPA and ranked 67th out of her 488 senior classmates. She started volunteering at the Advent Health hospital during her second year of high school and continues to volunteer during breaks, in addition to shadowing medical personnel. Michele currently attends Florida International University and is majoring in nursing. She has been on two medical missions, the most recent in Colombia. In between classes, Michele maintains a high level of campus engagement, from being the secretary of SHARP, an Honors College based club, to participating in CURE, an organization dedicated to the advancement of healthcare knowledge. She is also a Florida AHEC Scholar, where healthcare students have the opportunity to advocate for medically underserved populations.
