This month, the Flagler County Education Foundation celebrated their 85 dedicated Take Stock in Children mentors in honor of Mentor Appreciation Month. “Recognizing them alongside our school board members and leaders was a joy. We are incredibly grateful for these mentors who volunteer their time each week to meet with their mentees, often during their lunch breaks. So far this school year, we’ve held over 700 mentoring sessions,” Take Stock Flagler shared.

“Thanks to generous donors Ron & Diana Tortelli, we provided our mentors with physical copies of a Mentor Toolkit filled with helpful talking points and a flashlight keychain to symbolize how they genuinely light the way for their students. This program is about so much more than mentorship—preparing students for college and empowering them to achieve their dreams. None of this would be possible without our incredible mentors, and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts.”
