A Take Stock in Children scholar, Allysa Quick hails from Marion County and attended Vanguard High School. Allysa earned a 4.57 GPA and ranked 49 in her senior class of 390 students. She participated in the International Baccalaureate Program, as an AP Scholar, in the National Honor Society, and a Take Stock Ambassador. She also belonged to EcoKnights and a Literacy Club. Allysa donated her spare time to multiple programs such as UNICEF, Rise Above Project, and Conservation International.
Allysa graduated from Florida State University in May of 2019 with dual honors. In her time at the university, she volunteered in the ABHC lab, where she participated in research presentations and recently coauthored a published manuscript. She now works for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center as a research associate. She hopes to gain additional experience in this position while applying to Psychology PhD programs.
