Leonardo ranked 15th of his class of 150 students, maintained a weighted GPA of 4.9 and while attending Lorenzo Walker Technical High School. He represented his high school and the state of Florida in the National Congress of Science and Technology Leaders in Boston, Massachusetts. Leonardo is currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of South Florida with a GPA of 3.3 and is enrolled in the USF Judy Genshaft Honors College. He has also volunteered at several events sponsored by the Society for Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) as well as the American Institute for Chemical Engineers (AIChE). Leonardo also enjoys his time playing beach volleyball, learning to play the ukulele, and learning some of the Japanese language in hopes of visiting Japan someday.
