Tyniyah Haughton

Crestview High School / Okaloosa County

Tyniyah attends Crestview High School in Okaloosa County and ranks 1/459 seniors.  Her weighted GPA is 4.7. She would like to study medicine as a doctor of internal medicine.  She will graduate in May of 2023 with an AA degree.

She participates in the HOSA Health Occupations Students of America-future health professionals’ organization, where she has earned several awards; 1st place in regionals two years, 1st place in the state of Florida, and placed 4th internationally.

As well as the HOSA, she is active as the vice president of the National Honor Society, a member of the Multicultural Council, Student Government, and STRIDE (Science Students Together Instructional Diversity & Excellence), a program through Florida State University.

Tyniyah attends the Teen Ministry New Life International Worship Center and has several roles of leadership; play director, worship leader, praise dancer, soloist, youth choir director, and Sunday school student.  Tyniyah feels that “Leadership is all about making kindness normal.”

Her dream college is to attend the University of Central Florida, where she has been awarded the INSPIRE scholarship.
